Join us today as we talk with NSA alumna Marissa Worley! Marissa graduated from NorthStar in 2015 after switching from her local Christian school after 8th grade. Hear how attending NorthStar prepared her for college and her life as a wife and mom. Listen as Marissa looks back on her time at NSA and the spiritual growth she experienced through courses and other opportunities.

Marissa Worley

I’m currently twenty-four years old, have been married for almost five years now, and work happily as a stay-at-home mom for my two sons. My husband and I met and married while at college, which I graduated from in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. Since graduating, I’ve tried to put my degree to use in a few ways: first, telling people how prevalent bad ideas are in “higher education,” second, complaining about how poorly designed every house I’ve ever lived in is, and third, occasionally drawing something pretty. This week my hobbies include foraging for acorns, sewing heat packs, and singing my own parodies of songs to my kids. Other hobbies include saving money, learning new and sometimes nerdy or obscure things, and editing a fiction book written by my father’s coworker.
