Lionel Cable, Head of School at New Hope Christian Academy

Opening the doors of opportunity to God’s children has been at the center of New Hope’s work since 1995. As an organization, we ensure the children we serve are looked at through the lens of who they are and what they can become, instead of through data that traditionally has marginalized students of color and students who come from under-resourced communities.

While national education reform efforts have mainly focused on closing achievement gaps through innovation, quick fixes, high stakes accountability, and disruption, New Hope has been steadfast in its approach to making the future of Memphis brighter. Our organization deliberately invests in children over a long period of time and ensures that educating the whole child remains the nucleus of our work.

New Hope has impacted hundreds of students through our long-term commitment to families, strong relationships with students, outstanding teaching, hands-on learning, and Christ-centered discipleship. If you believe in our mission and want to partner with us as we continue to rewrite the narrative for God’s children across Frayser and the greater Memphis community, please consider engaging with us by becoming a financial supporter, volunteer, partnership connector, or prayer warrior.
