Karis Taylor
I’m a freshman dance science major at Texas A&M University, wanting to pursue professional school after getting my bachelors to attend Physical Therapy school. I’ve been dancing since I was 9 years old and just fell in love with it and never stopped. I grew up overseas my whole life. My family moved to Arua, Uganda when I was 5, had a brief period of time in America when I was 9-10 and then moved back overseas to Iraq when I was 11 where I lived until I graduated high school. I attended NSA for all 4 years of high school and was on the school newspaper (shameless plug for the Navigator). I’m the second oldest of 4 kids, I have two sisters and a brother. I love to read, I’m a huge bookworm, and I love to dance (obviously), watch movies and tv, play guitar, listen to music, card games, board games, and coffee (black). I worked at my home dance studio in Erbil, Kurdistan (Iraq) for 6 1/2 years as an assistant ballet teacher for 5 of those and as a head teacher and choreographer for the last year and a half.
