Today we talk with Jason Segner, an NSA dad and the founder of Healing Faith Uganda. Healing Faith is an organization that provides malaria testing, treatment, and education in Uganda. NorthStar is excited to raise funds for Healing Faith through The Blessing Project, our annual effort to raise money and awareness for organizations around the world. Jason Segner
I was born and raised in College Station, Texas. My parents both worked at Texas A&M University. I attended Texas A&M, where I met my beautiful wife of almost 21 years now. I am a 2001 Graduate from Texas A&M University with a Degree in Community Health Education. I worked in Emergency Medical Services for 12 years as a Paramedic, during those 12 years I spent 10 years teaching at Blinn College. I taught all levels of EMS education specializing in Pharmacology and Cardiology.
My wife and I moved to Uganda in 2012 after founding Healing Faith, an organization that provides malaria testing, treatment and education in Uganda. Our goal is to educate, equip and empower the people of Uganda in the fight against malaria, while showing the Love of Christ. We have 5 kids, 4 bio kids and one adopted. 4 of the five are currently enrolled in NSA.
