Zach Diestler
Pastor Zach Diestler was born and raised in the Northern California Bay Area and came to know Jesus as his personal Savior at an early age. Zach met his bride while studying at San Diego State University and they were married following graduation.
They soon found themselves in the church Zach grew up in, where he served as the children’s pastor. He eventually became licensed and served in youth and worship. A few years into ministry, they watched a documentary on kids in the foster system, which led them to begin their journey of becoming foster parents. They were able to eventually adopt their son, Semaje, who will be 22 in July!
Zach and his wife remained in the Bay Area, where they founded a non-profit ministry that serves the homeless of Oakland. He also serves as the English pastor at Light of Grace Korean Presbyterian Church in Martinez, a spiritual counselor at Contra Costa Christian School, and is pursuing a master’s degree in counseling through Western Seminary with a specialization in addiction studies. His dream is to open up his own recovery center for people struggling with poverty and addiction!
