The World Race Gap Year Changed My Life

Imagine going on a 9-month mission trip and having the whole trajectory of your life changed. That is exactly what happened to today’s guest, Drew Stamey. Drew participated in the World Race Gap Year and now works for Adventures in Missions, training and coaching future World Racers. Growing up as an MK (missionary kid) in Moscow, Russia, Drew learned to live out the truth “with Jesus, life is ministry and ministry is life.” Hear about Drew’s World Race adventures, and be encouraged by his contagious faith.

Drew Stamey

My name is Drew Stamey. I live in Gainesville, Georgia, and I’ve been married for two years to my amazing wife, Abigail Stamey. I love Jesus, and I want everyone I meet to know Him. I love traveling, experiencing new places and cultures, and going on new adventures. A few years ago, I went on a 9-month mission journey called the World Race Gap Year. It changed my life forever. Now, I work for Adventures in Missions, the organization over World Race Gap Year. I spend my days now guiding World Racers along their journey as they grow with God, love others, and make a difference in the world. When I’m not working with World Racers, you’ll probably find me at my gym, spending quality time with my community, or planning my next trip with Abigail.
