Meet the speaker for our Fall 2021 Spiritual Emphasis Event, Dr. Rusty Brian! Dr. Brian currently serves as a Senior Lecturer of Theology at Africa Nazarene University in Nairobi, Kenya. He is also an ordained pastor in the Church of the Nazarene, most recently serving in the Bay Area in Northern California (Concord) and Renton, WA. He has also worked as a Youth Pastor and has a passion for connecting with students. We can’t wait to hear what God has laid on Dr. Brian’s heart to share with us during this event!
Dr. Rusty Brian
Rusty and his wife Lauren have been married for over 19 years. Together they have three children, Lily (10), Rowan (7), and Daisy (4). Lauren is a teacher at the West Nairobi School in Nairobi where the kids also attend. WNS is a NICS school! Rusty loves playing and watching sports, fly fishing, reading, the outdoors, and coffee! Rusty holds a Ph.D. in Theology & Ethics from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. He’s published several books and many articles in the area of Theology.
